Grace Mitchell is an artist living and working in Naarm/Melbourne, working in an expanded painting practice. She primarily uses oil paint and also explores the structural qualities of wax.

Her current works centre an archive of photographs her mother took across Europe in the 1990s that depict mould, fog, ruins, and the processes of damage that occur across long periods of time and present themselves on objects in the world. Through material experimentation, Grace employs these processes of damage in her works by engineering the appearance of mould or sun damage onto an artwork.

Grace has shown her work across Naarm/Melbourne galleries and ARIs and earned her Bachelors degree of Fine Arts at RMIT Melbourne in 2025.
